Oh yeah, I knew what you meant. I was basically just attempting to add to the conversation and expound on a bit of bad guy theory. True enough on your last sentence though - on the difference between one’s personal taste versus remarkableness.
And yeah, it depends on how the overt crazy is approached, I think. In the right hands, just about any concept can be handled with “class”, for lack of a better word. But, that one can get cliched pretty fast.
