more of my own work. Soon.
There are too many interesting things on Tumblr to not reblog them.

I’m reblogging this because I forgot that I wrote all this. Twitter can do that.
This is pretty much the way I see it, put way more succinctly than I could! I’ve never understood why American comics [seem] so pigeon-holed into superheroes. There is so much great stuff out there across tons of different genres that would make comics more accessible to a wider variety of people. And I’m not saying those books don’t get published, but it doesn’t seem like there are nearly as many in the mainstream, or that they get the same amount of attention or notoriety as superheroes.

phenylketonurics asked: Fictional characters, ooo~
Comic:
1. Shira [Blade of the Immortal]
2. Tetsuo [Akira]
3. Calvin & Hobbes
Literary:
1. Faber [Fahrenheit 451] “The good writers touch life often. The mediocre ones run a quick hand over her. The bad ones rape her and leave her for the flies.”
2. Merlin [The Once and Future King]
3. Iago [Othello]
sprech4 asked: Top three horror films!
Oh man, this one’s hard! My top three are really cliche, and there’s still a lot that I haven’t seen yet. (I haven’t seen ANY Hitchcock, and have barely made a dent in the classics, and the asian horror genre.) And on top of it, there are so many different types of horror movies! 3 is not enough space, so here are a bunch that I like:
1. Alien
2. John Carpenter’s The Thing
3. Nosferatu
4. Re-Animator
5. The Abominable Dr. Phibes (or almost any Vincent Price)
6. Thirst
7. Vampire Hunter D (and the sequel, Bloodlust)
8. The Host
And one series: Mononoke (Not the Miyazaki movie, the short tv series about the weird medicine seller exorcising spirits).

psshaw asked: Scariest animals. Favorite things in your wardrobe. Cars, if you know anything about them.
For the most part, animals don’t scare me that much but it would have to be:
1. Humans (I think we count. Some people might disagree??)
2. Ticks and other small blood-suckers freak me out even though I love drawing bugs.
3. Seriously can’t think of a third. It would depend on whether or not it was trying to kill me, and if I was able to try to kill it back or not.
Wardrobe:
1. black t-shirt with an enormous blood-spattered chainsaw on it.
2. A bright red and orange striped tank top
3. Two button-downs shirts that are basically identical in style except for the color (one’s black and one’s grey).
4. I have… a small number of leather jackets in a variety of styles and colors. »
Cars (I know a little!):
1. Corvette Stingray (I know, I know. There are better muscle cars, but damn they’re cool-looking.)
2. Chevy El Camino
3. I think old VW Rabbits are adorable.
Fun!
